Sumter County, SC : Driver died after a head-on crash on Old Manning Road on Wednesday evening, Sep 30, 2015

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a driver was killed in a head-on crash Wednesday evening in Sumter County.

Troopers say a pickup crossed the center line on Old Manning Road at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday and hit an SUV head-on. Investigators say the driver of the pickup was not wearing a seat belt and died.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital in Sumter where the extent of injuries has not been released.

The Sumter County Coroner has not yet released the victim's name.
