Londonderry, N.H : Man critcally injured after car crashes into Londonderry home on Monday, December 29, 2014

Londonderry police and fire responded to a car that crashed into a home on Nashua Road just after 9 p.m. Monday. A man and child were transported from the scene.

Battalion Chief Jim Rogers tells New 9 that the car was traveling east when it left the road and struck the front of the house, then went airborne and landed in the woods.

The driver of the car who is in his 60's was extricated. Investigators said he was unresponsive when they arrived. Emergency officials transported the man to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

There were six people home at the time of the crash. A 4-year-old girl who was inside at the time was transported with minor injuries. The other occupants of the home are said to be doing okay.

The home which suffered extensive damage was surrounded by caution tape on Monday night.

Investigators remain on scene, but said the driver that hit the home may have suffered some type of medical issue.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
