An overturned semi loaded with milk containers shut down Highway 18 in Fayette County for about three hours Tuesday morning.
KCRG-TV reports the Fayette County Sheriff's Office said 29-year-old Charlie Craver of Amarillo, Texas lost control of the semi and crashed just after 2 a.m. on Highway 18 near Ironwood Road east of West Union.
Deputies said multiple gallons of milk spilled into the ditch. The West Union and Clermont Fire Departments salvaged the rest of the milk in the semi.
Craver was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released. Deputies cited him for failure to maintain control.
Authorities said the semi and trailer are a total loss.
