MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY : Ballard County man killed in motorcycle vs vehicle collision on Monday, 8th July 2024

On July 8 at approximately 2:03 p.m. the McCracken County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a vehicle vs. motorcycle collision on the 1900 block of Gholson Road.
The sheriff's office's investigation revealed that 30-year-old Alexander Babb of La Center was operating a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Gholson Road, while 19-year-old Lucy Turnbo of Paducah, operating a 2024 Mazda sedan, was exiting a residential driveway.
According to the sheriff's office, Babb collided with the front of the Mazda sedan.
Babb was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of incapacitating injures and was later pronounced deceased.
The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by Mercy Regional Ambulance, Concord Fire Department, McCracken County DES and Larry Stovesand Towing.
