Conroe,TX : Wrong-way driver dies in crash on U.S. 59 on November, Thursday 2nd 2017

A wrong-way driver died on U.S. 59 in East Montgomery County after slamming into the front of an 18-wheeler early Thursday morning.
A southbound driver called 911 around 3 a.m. saying there was another vehicle driving north in the southbound lanes near FM 1314. Moments later, another caller said the wrong-way driver crashed into the front of a northbound 18-wheeler near Roman Forest.
Medics with Montgomery County Hospital District and firefighters with the East Montgomery County Fire Department responded and found the driver of the wrong-way vehicle entrapped inside his car and in critical condition. The driver later died on scene. His identification has not been released.
The 18-wheeler driver suffered minor injuries.
No other information was available. DPS is investigating the crash.
