LaFollette, TN : A Caryville man died in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday, June 8, 2017

A Caryville man died in a two-vehicle crash in Anderson County last Thursday.

According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 47-year-old Anthony Peterson was driving a 1995 Toyota Camry south on Reservoir Road in Norris.

A 2003 Nissan Frontier driven by 40-year-old Heidi Kuehl of Andersonville was travelling north.

At approximately 7:28 p.m., the report states that Kuehl’s vehicle crossed the center line of the roadway, and Peterson took corrective action to miss her vehicle.

Kuehl’s vehicle swerved back onto the correct side of the road, and both vehicles struck head on.

Peterson’s vehicle left the roadway on the east side, while Kuehl’s left the roadway on the west side.

Kuehl was injured in the crash; however, the THP report does not list the extent of her injuries.
