One person was killed and another was injured in a car crash in east Charlotte Monday evening.
The two-car collision happened just after 7:30 p.m. on Gainesborough Road near North Sharon Amity Road and Shamrock Drive. Police haven’t released details about the crash or released the identities of the people involved.
Paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene. They were preparing the injured person to be transported to the hospital.
At 8:30 p.m., CMPD said the inbound lane of Shamrock Road is closed at the department’s major crash unit investigates.
