HANOVER, VA : 19-year-old dies in Hanover crash on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024

A 19-year-old is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 on Tuesday.

Shortly after noon, Virginia State Police were called to a crash on I-295 south near mile marker 40 in Hanover.

“A 2016 Honda Accord was driving southbound on I-295 when it ran off the road to the left and struck an overpass head-on,” Virginia State Police said.

The driver, Ethan A. Shelton, 19, of Glen Allen, Va., died at the scene.
