Springfield, FL : Two children injured after wreck at U.S. Business 98 and Cherry Street on Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2016
Two 10-year-olds remain hospitalized after a vehicle crash Saturday afternoon.
Authorities from multiple agencies responded to a wreck at U.S. Business 98 and Cherry Street shortly after noon Saturday. Witnesses said the driver of a 2001 Toyota pick-up truck traveling along Business 98 T-boned a 2007 Suzuki sedan as its driver pulled in front of the truck while trying to turn left onto Cherry Street.
The driver of the sedan and her two 10-year-old passengers were transported to Bay Medical Center Sacred Heart Health System. The driver was treated and released, but both children were flown via Life Flight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with head injuries.
The driver of the truck also was treated and released, and the truck’s 17-year-old passenger was not injured.
Names of those involved were not immediately released.
