NASHVILLE, TN : 1 killed, toddler and adult injured in crash on I-65 north of downtown Nashville on Saturday, 1st June 2024

One person was killed and two others, including a two-year-old, were injured after a crash on Interstate 65 north of downtown Nashville on Saturday morning.

Metro Nashville Police said Roberto Estrada, 54, was driving his Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound on I-65 near the I-24 split when he ran off the roadway in a curve, entered the grass median and fell over a 20-foot cliff to the southbound side of I-65 on Saturday morning.

Estrada was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. His passengers, aged 49 and 2, were taken to Vanderbilt with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
