Topeka,KS : Man killed Sunday in single-vehicle crash in north-central Kansas on August, Sunday 20th 2017

A 26-year-old man was killed early Sunday in a one-vehicle crash in north-central Kansas, authorities said.

The crash was reported to have occurred between 2 and 4 a.m. Sunday on US-281 highway in Smith County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2003 Dodge Stratus car was northbound on US-281 just north of Portis when the car failed to negotiate a curve and entered the east ditch at U road, where it became airborne.

The Dodge then rolled and came to rest on its top.
