A Cleveland man was hospitalized after reportedly trying to evade police and crashing his car early Wednesday morning on Grafton Road.
Brunswick Hills Fire Chief Anthony Strazzo said Dayvid K. Ware Jr., 23, had significant but non-life threatening injuries.
“It took 20 minutes to extricate the driver from the vehicle,” Strazzo said.
According to a press release from the Ohio Highway Patrol, troopers were attempting to stop a white 2009 Mazda 6 that was going 76 mph in a 35 mph zone on U.S. Route 42 near Grafton Road.
Authorities said Ware attempted to evade troopers by driving west on Grafton Road. After missing the stop sign at Marks Road, the car went airborne and landed in a resident’s yard in the 5300 block of Grafton Road at 3:41 a.m., the release said.
