Craig, CO : One man injured in motorcycle accident on U.S. Highway 40 east of Craig on Tuesday, July 19, 2016
One motorcyclist was transported to The Memorial Hospital on Tuesday after an accident on U.S. Highway 40 near mile marker 96.
The 53-year-old male operating the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Craig Fire/Rescue Lt. Chris Mercer said.
The accident, which took place by Ike’s Automatic Trans Shop around noon, involved a sedan with three occupants and one motorcycle.
Jennifer Riley, chief of marketing and business development for TMH, said the motorcyclist was in stable condition at the hospital Tuesday evening.
None of the passengers in the sedan required medical treatment.
Colorado State Patrol is in charge of the investigation and other responding agencies included TMH Emergency Medical Services, Craig Fire/Rescue and Moffat County Sheriff’s Office.
