Monessen,PA : Greensburg Road (Route 366) reopens in Washington Township after crash on January, Wednesday 24th 2018

A section of Greensburg Road (Route 366) has been reopened in Washington Township after it was closed Wednesday evening following a two-vehicle crash.

Washington Township Police Sgt. Jason Montgomery said the accident happened when a delivery van slid on ice and into the other lane, striking a truck.

The accident was near the intersection of Exton Lake Road, according to Westmoreland County 911.

Montogmery said no one was injured.

The crash was reported about 7:40 p.m.

First-responders made the decision to close the road because it was covered in ice, according to Westmoreland County 911 dispatchers.

Montgomery said the road was closed for about an hour.

He said the road conditions took a fast turn Wednesday as temperatures dropped and snow fell.

PennDOT was called to the scene to treat the road with salt, dispatchers said.
