Ovid, NY : Lodi woman killed in car crash on County Road 139 in Seneca County on Friday morning, April 29, 2016

A Lodi woman died Friday following an early-morning accident on County Road 139.

Seneca County deputies said Kaili M. Collins, 25, of Lodi, lost control of her vehicle at about 12:05 a.m. and hit a rock-lined ditch. Collins was westbound on County Road 139, just west of County Road 129, when she went off the north side of the road.

Deputies said Collins was treated at the scene by Trumansburg Ambulance then taken by ambulance to Geneva General Hospital, where she was airlifted by a LifeNet helicopter to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. She suffered head injuries and was originally listed in critical condition before succumbing to her injuries later on Friday.

The accident remains under investigation, deputies said.
