LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC : 1 killed in afternoon crash near Lake Murray on Sunday, 4th November 2018

One person was killed in an afternoon crash in Gilbert near Lake Murray, according to a statement from the Lexington County Coroner’s office.
Luke Matthews King, 59, of Gilbert, died at the scene of a crash after his car left the road and hit a tree at about 12:15 p.m., according to the statement.
The fatal crash happened on Shore Road near Belle Lindler Road, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
King was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the coroner’s office.
