TRUMBULL, CT : 1 dead, child injured in crash on Route 8 on Wednesday, 6th December 2023

A man died and a child was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 8.

Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, state police said a driver tried to merge onto the southbound side of the highway n Trumbull and hit another car near exit 8.

Troopers said 34-year-old Daniel Demichael of Norwalk lost control after his vehicle was struck.

Demichael’s vehicle collided with a metal guardrail in the center median, and he suffered serious injuries.
