Rochester, MN : One injured in head-on crash on U.S. 14 west of Rochester on Tuesday, April 12, 2016
The car driver who fell asleep this morning while driving east on U.S. 14 about three miles west of Rochester was injured when his car went through the median and hit an eastbound SUV head-on.
The State Patrol identified he driver as Keythe E. Dietrich, 27, of LeRoy. It said the SUV was driven by Catherine J. Trom, 49, of Byron; she had no apparent injury.
Dietrich was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus, the patrol said. He was still being evaluated at 8 a.m., according to a Mayo spokeswoman.
The crash was reported at 5:07 a.m.
