Beverly, MA : Lynn woman arrested after drives convenience store by a rest stop on Route 128 in Beverly on Sunday afternoon, March 8, 2015
A Lynn woman who crashed her car into a Beverly convenience store has been charged with drugged driving.
Police say 55-year-old Patricia Miller plowed into The Rapid Refill store at a Route 128 North rest area at about 3 p.m. Sunday.
The car crashed through the glass front and came to rest completely inside. Even though there were workers and customers inside at the time, no one was hurt.
Miller is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Salem District Court on charges including operating under the influence of drugs, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Police say she was ‘‘combative’’ after the crash. She refused to leave her vehicle and had to be carried to a police cruiser by three troopers.
