Tallahassee, FL : Pompano Beach man killed in Interstate 95 crash on Saturday, 1st December 2018

Pompano Beach man was killed Saturday on Interstate 95 when his Toyota Tundra crashed into a Dodge Ram that had been abandoned in the travel lanes from a previous accident.

The force of the crash pushed the Ram onto the left shoulder of the interstate, where its two former occupants were standing, hitting one of them and propelling him over the concrete barrier wall that divides the northbound and southbound lanes, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Christopher J. McGregor, 30, was traveling north on I-95 past the Hillsboro Boulevard exit about 2:30 a.m. when he struck the 2013 Ram that was at rest in the inside center lane, troopers said.

McGregor was taken to the Broward Health North hospital in Pompano Beach, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
