Eau Claire,WI : Man injured in Pierce County crash on December, Monday 11th 2017

An 18-year-old Bay City man suf­fered ex­ten­sive in­juries Mon­day in a two-ve­hi­cle crash along High­way 63 in Pierce County.

Ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease is­sued by the Wis­con­sin State Pa­trol, the man was driv­ing a 2006 Buick ve­hi­cle north along the high­way when it struck a patch of snow and slid into the south­bound lane, where it was hit by a 2014 Jeep.

The crash oc­curred at about 3:30 p.m. near the in­ter­sec­tion of high­ways 63 and Y near Ellsworth.

The driver of the Buick was not wear­ing his seat belt, the re­port states. He was air­lifted to Re­gions Hospi­tal in St. Paul, Minn., with life-threat­en­ing in­juries.

The driver of the Jeep, a 47-year-old man from Woodville, did not ap­pear to have in­juries, the re­port states. Author­i­ties have not re­leased the name of ei­ther driver.

The crash re­mains un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion by the State Pa­trol.
