Escambia County, AL : Auburn woman killed in a crash south of Brewton on Saturday, December 24, 2016

A 29-year old Auburn woman was killed in a crash on Christmas Eve.

Jessica Michelle Norwood, 29 was killed in a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 5:45 a.m. on Saturday about seven miles south of Brewton in Escambia County. The 2009 Toyota Camry that she was driving at the time left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree said State Trooper Kevin Cook, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Norwood, who was not wearing a seat belt was pronounced dead at the scene Cook said.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
