CLEVELAND, OH : Man suspected of drunken driving in Cleveland crash that severely injured 1-year-old and mother on Monday, 5th April 2021

A man is suspected of drunken driving in a crash that severely injured a 1-year-old child and mother Sunday in Cleveland, police said.

The child remains at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital with severe injuries following the crash that happened just after noon on East 124th Street at Farringdon Avenue, police said.

The child’s mother also suffered a broken femur in the crash, police said.

The preliminary investigation revealed the man ran a stop sign and struck the mother’s car, police said. The mother needed to be extracted from her car after the crash.
