Two people were transported to the hospital Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash involving a county dump truck.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes on the Highway 20 overpass by Case High School at about 12:47 p.m., South Shore Battalion Chief Steve Salvo said.
The driver of the Racine County Department of Public Works vehicle, a man, was transported to Ascension All Saints Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, a woman, was transported by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Salvo said. Injuries for both people are not believed to be life-threatening.
Following the crash, westbound traffic was diverted onto Oakes Road until the road reopened shortly after 2 p.m.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
