Carver County, MN : 22-year-old woman dies in Carver County crash on Saturday, 6th February 2021

A 22-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Carver County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 9:24 p.m. on Highway 7 near the intersection with 53rd Street in Hollywood Township. A Chevrolet Silverado was headed west on Highway 7 when it crashed into a Cadillac Deville heading east.

The driver of the Cadillac, Ashley Karjala, 22, of Hutchinson, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the State Patrol.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Jhannes Booyens, 41, and passenger Matthys Herbst, 45, both of Willmar, were taken to a hospital in Waconia with non-life-threatening injuries.
