White Marsh, MD :3 Crashes in White Marsh Over Weekend on Sunday, July 5th 2015
The Fourth of July weekend was an active one for first responders in greater Perry Hall.A helicopter was dispatched near the county line Sunday evening after one person was unaccounted for following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 north, the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported. One of the vehicles went into the woods before the exit for MD 152/Mountain Road, and a search ensued, according to the report.With the aid of thermal imaging tools, a helicopter was able to locate the individual on the side of the highway, the fire company reported before midnight.In addition, there were two crashes in the early morning hours on Saturday, July 4, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.One was also on I-95 north, between MD 43 and MD 152, and involved a rollover, while the other was on White Marsh Boulevard near Market Way, the fire company reported.When they were not responding to calls for service, crews made the rounds to patriotic celebrations for the holiday. On Saturday morning, several fire companies were represented at the Independence Parade hosted by the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company. Afterward, some members from the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company joined the White Marsh-Cowenton Community Association in presenting a wreath at the war memorial along Ebenezer Road.
