WATERLOO, IA : Black Hawk County Sheriff’s deputy injured in collision with with semi on Friday, 12th February 2021

A Black Hawk County Sheriff’s deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries from a crash with a semi-truck Friday morning, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The incident took place at Fletcher Avenue at Highway 218 off-ramp stoplight. The Sheriff's Office says the deputy had been responding to a call with lights and sirens on.

The cause of the accident was likely weather related, but no further information has been released.
