Meridian, ID : Woman, driver involved in fatal collision in Meridian related, had been drinking June 27th 2014.

Meridian police say that a woman who was struck and killed by a pickup truck in her neighborhood was related to the driver, and that she might have been holding onto the driver's side door before she fell and was run over.

In a press release issued Wednesday, police also say that both 38-year-old Melinda Rose Croghan and the driver were related. The name of the driver has not been released.Police say Croghan died of blunt-force trauma to the chest in the collision, which was reported at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.No charges have yet been filed, and the accident is still under investigation.
