MAYO, GA : Mayo man in serious condition after one-vehicle crash on Saturday, December 9, 2016

A Mayo man was taken to Shands at the University of Florida in serious condition Saturday afternoon after his car struck a tree and caught fire in one-vehicle wreck in Lafayette County.

Timothy Bryan, 58, was traveling west on County Road 534 after turning off of US Highway 27 northwest of Mayo according to a Florida Highway Patrol report, when his 2013 Nissan headed in a northwestern direction and left the road onto the north shoulder.

The front right side of Bryan’s car hit a tree and it turned over onto its left side. It came to rest on its top in the westbound lane of the road and caught fire, was destroyed totally.
