Walton ,KY : 36- years old Motorcyclist killed in wrong way crash along AA Highway near Banklick Road on Wednesday ,May 13th 2015
A motorcyclist died early Thursday in a head-on crash police say he caused by driving the wrong way on the AA Highway.
The 36-year-old driver from Cincinnati was pronounced dead at the scene in Wilder, said police Lt. Mike Murdock.
"It appears he had crossed over (the center line) -- and I don't know how long he was driving in that lane -- but he crossed two of the opposing lanes and was near the shoulder" when he was hit, Murdock said.
"We really don't know what caused him to do that."
Murdock said police are awaiting toxicology results from the Campbell County Corner's Office to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash.
The crash, reported around 3 a.m., shut down the AA Highway near Banklick Road in Northern Kentucky for about two hours.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution, Murdock said. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
