Sacramento, CA : Waldo resident dead after a crash at a Hwy. 98 Big Creek bridge on Thursday, 1st November 2018
A Waldo resident was found dead Thursday morning, two days after a single-car crash at a Hwy. 98 Big Creek bridge.
According to a fatal accident report from the Arkansas State Police, 42-year-old Robert F. Dowling at 5 p.m. was said to be traveling east along Hwy. 98, between Waldo and McNeil, in a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup when the vehicle “drove off the north side of the roadway and collided with a bridge guardrail.” The vehicle then, the report said, began to overturn and landed upside down in the creek.
The crash scene was not discovered until Thursday at 10:22 a.m. The accident occurred approximately one mile east of Waldo’s city limits and approximately three miles west of McNeil.
The weather conditions were said to be clear and the road was condition was dry. Arkansas State Trooper Lucas Talley investigated to the crash.
The deceased is now under the care of Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia.
