A Kingston woman whose vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic Tuesday morning died of her injuries at an area hospital, according to state police.
Patricia Doak, 58, was pronounced dead at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township following the crash about 9:35 a.m., troopers said.
According to police, Doak was driving a 2014 Ford Focus on state Route 11, about a quarter mile south of Jersey Road, when her vehicle crossed the center line and hit a 2010 Nissan Maxima head-on.
The driver of the Maxima, Keith Swartwood, 37, of Nanticoke, was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, troopers said.
