Staten Island, NY : One person serious injuries after a one vehicle accident in Bloomfield on Sunday evening, July 24, 2016

A one vehicle accident that occurred Sunday evening in Bloomfield left one person with serious injuries, a spokesman for the FDNY said.

The black Mercedes Benz sedan with New Jersey license plates crashed in the intersection of Gulf Avenue and Edward Curry Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m., the spokesman said.

The injured person was expected to survive and was transported to Richmond University Medical Center, the spokesman said.

Police at the scene were investigating the cause of the accident.
