A St. Paul motorcyclist was critically injured Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle struck another vehicle the town of Maiden Rock, Wis.
The Pierce County sheriff's office responded to the crash at about 5:30 p.m. and found motorcyclist Harold Risley, 70, had stuck the rear of a vehicle that had been attempting to make a left turn from Wisconsin 35 to County Road AA.
The car was driven by Rhonda Schauer, 36, of Lakeville, Minn., the sheriff's office said.
Risley was taken by helicopter to Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester, where he was in critical condition Sunday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The accident remains under investigation.
It was the second serious motorcycle collision in Maiden Rock on Saturday. A crash reported at about 12:30 p.m. killed motorcyclist Diane L. Wick, 58, of Minneapolis, and injured motorcyclist David D. Friestad, 66, of Savage, Minn.
