Mesa, WA : Two Kennewick women injured in a four-car crash on Highway 395 just north of Mesa on Friday evening, Nov 20, 2015
Two Kennewick women were injured Friday evening in a four-car crash on Highway 395 just north of Mesa.
Guadulupe Guerra, 60, was driving northbound on the highway near milepost 47 at 5:40 in a Dodge Neon with Corina Sanchez, 38, as a passenger, said a Washington State Patrol release.
A Cadillac Seville driven by Crystal Mendoza, 23, of Moses Lake ahead of them on the highway pulled over to the left shoulder and a four-door Volvo driven by Portland man Cameron Wood, 19, stopped in the left lane to avoid hitting it.
Guerra wasn’t paying attention and failed to stop her car and hit the rear of the Volvo, pushing it into the Cadillac, the release said. A Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Arnoldo Guzman-Martinez, 40, of Mesa then ran into Guerra’s Neon from behind.
Guerra and Sanchez were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Guerra was treated and released and Sanchez’s status was not available.
Guerra and Guzman-Martinez were cited for second-degree negligent driving.
