Thousands of customers were without power late Friday night and early Saturday morning in the Oklahoma City area.A car crashed into a power line near Northwest 63rd Street and May Avenue just before midnight, officials said.
Oxygen machines at the Northwest Nursing Center went offline, but none of the residents had to be taken to a hospital.
Officers are investigating whether the driver of the car had been drinking. The driver allegedly ran from the scene after the crash, was arrested and taken to a hospital, police said.
A car crashed into a power pole near Reno Avenue and Sooner Road around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, knocking out power to more than 1,800 customers in Midwest City and Del City.
