Iota ,LA : 29-year-old Emily Tramel killed after her car struck another vehicle along Interstate 10 on Sunday early morning ,April 19 2015

State police say an Elton woman died when her car struck another vehicle on Interstate 10 just west of Iota in Acadia Parish.

Troopers identified the victim as 29-year-old Emily Tramel.

Investigators say after Tramel's car struck a second car from behind, it ran off the highway and hit a tree shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The driver of the second car suffered minor injuries.
