BURLEY, ID : Heyburn man dies in Tuesday crash on Tuesday, 8th November 2016

A Heyburn man was killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash south of Burley.

The crash occurred at 12:41 p.m. on Idaho Highway 27 at 500 S.

Cassia County Undersheriff George Warrell said Kelly Robinson, 62, was thrown from his pickup and died at the scene.

Warrell said Robinson was headed south in a 1993 Chevrolet pickup on the highway when Shirley Lund, 90, of Albion, was driving a 2001 Buick LeSabre eastbound on 500 S.

Lund failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection.

“Robinson was ejected and he was not wearing a seat belt,” Warrell said.

Lund was wearing a seat belt and was conscious at the scene.

She was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center.

“We’re not sure of her condition,” Warrell said.
