THORNTON, CO : 1 dead, 1 injured after vehicle crashes into water near Thornton Monday, 1st January 2024

One person died and one was taken to a hospital after a vehicle crashed into the water early Monday in the Thornton area, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

CSP troopers responded to the crash at 2:23 a.m. Monday near East 104th Avenue and McKay Road. Two people were inside vehicle. One of the occupants died at the scene, and the other was taken a hospital, said a CSP spokesperson. The injured person's condition was unknown.
