McComb, OH : 9-year-old injured in county traffic accident near McComb Sunday afternoon, March 19, 2017

A 9-year-old girl was injured in a one-car crash on Ohio 186 near McComb Sunday afternoon.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported that Danny Collins, 42, of McComb, was driving a 2001 Buick Century north on Ohio 186 near the Ohio 235 intersection at 3:08 p.m. when he lost control of the car. The vehicle went off the east side of the roadway and continued traveling northbound before crossing Hancock County 97 and overturning, the sheriff’s office reported.
A passenger in the car, Marlaina Collins, 9, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by McComb EMS, according to the sheriff’s office. Danny Collins refused treatment at the scene.
The accident is under investigation, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, the sheriff’s office reported.
Also assisting at the scene were the McComb Fire Department and Dick’s Towing.
