Conroe,TX : Fiery crash on I-45 near Conroe kills one on December, Monday 11th 2017

A fiery crash on Interstate 45 near FM 1488 left one person dead Monday evening forcing the closure of the southbound lanes as law enforcement and emergency personnel work to investigate just what happened.
As of 8:15 p.m., the interstate was still closed to traffic. The crash happened around 6:15 p.m.
According to Conroe Police Lt. Jimmy Waller, a disabled vehicle in the HOA lane was stopped and struck from behind by another vehicle causing the disabled car to burst into flames.
Multiple motorists called 911 to report the crash according the Montgomery County Hospital District.
When crews from the Conroe and Needham fire departments and paramedics with MCHD arrived on scene, they found the vehicle fully involved with the driver still trapped. The driver, whose identity was not released pending notification of family members, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Waller said no one else was injured in the accident. No other details were available.
