Chatham County ,GA: Collision sends car crashing into wood line along I-16 WB on Wednesday ,May 27th 2015

The Georgia State Patrol, Savannah-Chatham Metro police and Bloomingdale police and fire responded to a two-vehicle accident on I-16 westbound near Mile Marker 151 Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred around 7 a.m. involving a car and a FedEx truck. The car ended up going off the road and into the wood-line, coming to rest on its side. There are unknown injuries at this time.

Both of the westbound lanes remained open and no traffic was affected.

The crash is being investigated by GSP.
