One killed in motorcycle crash in Alpine, California

Friends and family Friday mourned a 23-year-old Alpine man who died when he drove his motorcycle over a solid yellow line and crashed head-on into a pickup truck near Viejas Casino.
The fatality occurred on Alpine Boulevard about 5:40 p.m. Thursday, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Pennings.
The motorcyclist died at the scene but the driver of the pickup was not hurt, Pennings said.
