A McDonald man died early Sunday morning after being ejected from a car that struck an embankment on Chartiers Run Road in Washington County.
Shawn Kroesen, 24, died at 1:21 a.m. at Canonsburg Hospital, county Coroner Tim Warco said.
Kroesen was a passenger in a 2002 Honda Civic that was traveling north on Chartiers Run Road in Chartiers when the unidentified driver lost control about 12:05 a.m., struck an embankment, crossed the southbound lanes and came to rest in a field, Warco said.
Canonsburg Ambulance Service transported Kroesen to Canonsburg Hospital, where he later died.
Chartiers police continue to investigate.
