Benton Ridge, OH : Fatal crash reported near Benton Ridge on Monday, 23rd July 2018

A Putnam County man was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision of a pickup truck and a dump truck on a rural road west of Findlay, the Hancock County Sheriffs Office reported.

According to the sheriffs office, Tyler Schroeder, 35, of Ottawa, was driving a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck east Hancock County 86 at 8:59 a.m. when he drove left of center and struck a westbound dump truck driven by Matthew Lyle, 30, of Cridersville.

Schroeder, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriffs office reported.
