Dane County, WI : 2 injured in Drunken driving crash in Dane County on Saturday, December 27, 2014
A driver faces drunken-driving charges after he and a passenger were injured when their car hit a tree in Dane County.
David Yang, 25, of Madison was driving the Honda Civic late Saturday night when he lost control around a turn and hit the tree on Airport Road in the town of Cross Plains, the Dane County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Yang and his passenger, Sonny T. Hang, 22, of McFarland, had to be freed from the vehicle by emergency crews, and both suffered serious injuries and were taken to the UW Hospital but are expected to survive. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Yang faces a charge of causing injury by drunken driving.
