Billings, MT : Wyoming man dies in Uinta County crash after possible heart attack on Monday, September 4, 2017
A Wyoming man died Monday night near Mountain View after a crash possibly caused by a medical emergency.
Jerry Yates, 79, was driving southbound on Wyoming Highway 414 near milepost 97 when his pickup turned slowly into a left turn lane before turning in front of oncoming traffic, according to a Wyoming Highway Patrol crash report.
Yates was hit by an oncoming vehicle and died at the scene.
Statements made by first responders indicated Yates may have had a heart attack, causing him to turn into traffic, the report stated.
Yates was not wearing a seat belt and one other person was injured in the crash, according to the highway patrol.
