Terre Haute, IN : One person was injured after a car crashed into a tree and went down an embankment at Interstate 70 On Tuesday, August 15th, 2016

Expect slowed or stopped traffic at the eastbound 15 mile marker on Interstate 70 for a while.

Crews are cleaning up an overnight accident there.

At around 4:00 Tuesday morning, a car crashed into a tree and went down an embankment.

One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

A cause for this crash has not been determined.

As of 6:45 Tuesday morning, Indiana State Police reported one eastbound lane closed, and slow-moving traffic in the other lane.

They are waiting for a wrecker to arrive to remove the car.

This is the same mile marker where a semi overturned overnight yesterday.
