EARLINGTON, KY : One injured in Hopkins County accident on Tuesday, January 3rd 2017

A Madisonville resident was injured this week in a one-vehicle accident on the outskirts of Earlington.

According to an accident report written by Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. LyDon Logan, 61-year-old Vicky Barnett was traveling east on Ilsley Road at approximately 2:27 p.m. Monday when she struck a slick spot on the road way coming into the city limits.

Barnett’s vehicle reportedly went out of control, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

She was taken to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment of her injuries. The Medical Center Ambulance Service, Earlington and Richland fire departments assisted at the scene
