Hudson, WI : Man dies from motorcycle crash in St. Croix County on Friday, March 31, 2017

A Star Prairie man died Sun­day of in­juries suf­fered in a mo­tor­cy­cle ac­ci­dent in St. Croix County Fri­day.
Reed C. Ship­ley, 33, died at Re­gions Hospi­tal in St. Paul of in­juries suf­fered in the ac­ci­dent.

Ac­cord­ing to the St. Croix County sher­iff’s of­fice, Ship­ley was driv­ing a 2005 Har­ley David­son mo­tor­cy­cle south­bound on High­way C fol­low­ing an east­bound truck that was go­ing to turn west onto High­way C/?CC. A 2012 Chevro­let Im­pala driven by An­gela M. Berg, 38, Som­er­set, was stopped at an east­bound stop sign on High­way C/?CC. Berg did not see the mo­tor­cy­cle be­hind the truck and en­tered the in­ter­sec­tion, caus­ing Ship­ley to brake and lose con­trol of the mo­tor­cy­cle. The car and mo­tor­cy­cle did not make con­tact.
Ship­ley was not wear­ing a hel­met at the time of the crash. He was taken to West­fields Hospi­tal in New Rich­mond and later trans­ferred to Re­gions Hospi­tal where he died.
Nei­ther Berg nor her pas­sen­gers, Maria Berg, 12, Austin Berg, 4, and Emily Berg, 10, were in­jured.
The ac­ci­dent re­mains un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
